Dirty Fish

The kids have three goldfish that they have named, Mater, Lightening McQueen and Sally. Mater is a black goldfish, Lightening orange and Sally more white and orange. Well, a couple weeks ago Bernie decided to clean the fish take and took all the water out to start new. In the meantime Mater died and once he put Lightening and Sally into the new water they both died too. Bernie went into emergency mode to say the least and went and bought 3 new fish. He was able to get a new black Mater and an orange Lightening yet unable to find a comparable Sally so bought a white, orange mixed one that has black spots all over it. The kids didn't really notice that anything had changed with the fish which was good until the other night. We were in the office and the kids for some reason were looking at this fish. Well, Hudson noticing that something was different started laughing and saying that Sally was dirty. I love the mind of the kids and the things they say out of complete innocence. For the rest of the night he kept laughing and saying that Sally was dirty referring to her black spots. We did tell him that it was the way Sally really was and she wasn't dirty but he still found it hilarious. Hopefully in the future we don't have any more emergency fish situations especially since we skated through this one without the kids really noticing. Looks like Bernie will be brushing up on his fish tank cleaning skills.
