Wedding # 2 & Mommy's Day

This past weekend marked wedding #2 for us. This wedding though I was a bridesmaid as it was a friend of mine from Wells Fargo. Friday afternoon I headed to Ames for the rehearsal at Reiman Gardens followed by rehearsal dinner at Hickory Park which was awesome. Following the rehearsal I jetted back to Ames to attend a gathering that our daycare had planned to where the kids could showcase the things they have done along with sing the parents some songs they have been practicing. I was really excited that I was able to make it as I know it was special for the kids. Saturday morning we organized a few final things for our neighborhood garage sale that was going on. I unfortunately wasn't able to help with the day but did contribute a lot of stuff. Thanks for our great neighbors the garage sale was a huge success. Later that morning Paisley came with me to get my hair done for the wedding. Following hair I had about an hour to come home before heading to Ames for pictures and the wedding. With the wedding being in Ames Bernie and I decided it would be best for him and the kids to hang out at home and then meet me at the reception which was later that night. The wedding was beautiful along with the reception as the kids had fun dancing as usual. It was a late night for everyone and unfortunately the kids decided to NOT sleep in on Mother's Day but Bernie did let me lounge in bed until 8:30am. Thanks honey! Bernie asked what I wanted to do for the day and my request was to get breakfast and then spend the day at home getting some things done and then relaxing. This did include Bernie completing a few honey to do list items and me having time to clean the house - I know its an odd request for Mother's Day but it made me happy getting it done. It was a truly nice day as it had been such a busy weekend and everyone was tired so it was a much needed day at home for everyone. We did head over to the neighbors for a gathering that night which was nice to hang out and let the kids play. The day was great along with the beautiful card Bernie and the kids got me. I am so blessed to have such great kids and husband and all that I needed for Mother's Day was a day spent with them. Thank you Hudson, Paisley and Tenley for letting ME being your mommy.
I love these guys!
