Last weekend we took the kids to the State Fair on Friday night. We checkout some of the buildings in addition to the animal barns. Paisley's request was to see the horses and she loved them! We also went to the petting zoo which Tenley loved and went to the kid fun area which we had never been to. The kids got to play farmer planting crops and visiting different animal sheds to get milk, wool, etc. They loved it in addition to Tenley who had to do exactly everything Hudson and Paisley did. At the end when you turned your crops back in they paid you $1 for the work you did on the farm in which the kids got to go to this little store and buy something with it. It was a fun concept and the kids had fun. Other that that we enjoyed some fair food and of course gave our money to the people at the BIG slide. The kids had a blast on the slide and I do have to admit as I went on it twice with Tenley that it was fun.

Saturday we got a lot accomplished around home and enjoyed the day. One of the main tasks accomplished was cleaning out my car. It is unbelievable the mess three kids in car seats can make and the amount of food you kind find. Absolutely gross to say the least!
Sunday we started the day off with a visit to the Blank Park Zoo. Throughout the summer the zoo has added to much compared to what was available this spring when we visited. We spent about two hours in the park checking out animals, playing at the playground and enjoying the train ride. It was a fun morning as a family. Hopefully we can visit again before the summer is officially over. We spent the rest of Sunday chilling out with the kids and doing more around the house as Bernie did some lawn work and me some random house work. The weekends always go to fast and of course we never get as much done as hoped but we always enjoy relaxing weekends at home with the kids.
