Weekend in Jace Landing

This past weekend was a relaxing one at home doing things with our neighborhood. It started with our Friday night get together to hang out before the neighborhood kids started back to school this coming week. The neighbors had their volleyball net up so of course we played a fun competitive game. Bernie nor I had played volleyball in so long so it was fun, minus the bruises I had on my hands and arms the next day. Saturday the guys in the neighborhood went out to Saylorville on our neighbors boat. Bernie enjoyed some wake boarding even though he has been paying for the soreness that comes with it for days. I hung out with the kids around home on Saturday, made a trip to Target and did some small things around the house. Saturday night we spent time with the neighbors before the mom's enjoyed a little night out. Let's just say I am not used to staying out until 2 am especially knowing that I am going to be woken by three little kiddos by 8:00 am. Overall it was a fun Saturday as Bernie enjoyed his time on the lake and I enjoyed a fun night with the girls. Sunday we made a much needed trip to Costco before heading to a friends to celebrate a 3rd birthday party of a little boy that goes to daycare with the kids. There is a park right behind their house so the kids had fun playing before enjoying ice cream, cake and gift opening. Sunday night we spent doing a few little house projects has Bernie has been busy working on painting the base of the house before he plans on putting the egress window covers on. I can not wait for the painting to be done so the covers can be put on and we don't have to worry about the kids or any neighbor kids falling. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos from the weekend but will have some to post later this week of some of the exciting things we have going on.
