New Years

New Years Eve was the first day I felt well after surgery so it was nice to get out of the house. We went to Target that morning before spending time with friends that night. The evening was low key as it was our family and two others, yet all families combined we have 9 kids under the age 4. Call us all crazy, but the kids play so well together and things go very smooth when we get together. We love it! We enjoyed a low key night hanging out and catching up as one of the families recently moved away and we hadn't seen them since September and we hadn't seen the other family since then either due to busy holiday schedules. We got home about 10:30pm, put the kids to bed, then Bernie and I relaxed on the couch and watched the ball drop at midnight before heading to bed around 1:00am. We did regret staying up so late to be honest as Paisley woke up not feeling well with a 104 degree temp. SO, yes we were the first ones at the doctors office New Years Day with a little girl with an ear infection. I am glad we were able to get in and get antibiotics right away so she started feeling better. I do hate the fact that she deals with ear issues like me...poor little girl. New Years Day we laid low and than Bernie and I both had Monday off so we went to Backyard Adventures with friends that morning and spent time at home that afternoon. To top the weekend off Hudson ended up with the flu Monday night so I got an extra long weekend. Thankfully it was a short lived flu and he was feeling better by mid morning and NO one else got sick. I am not sure with my surgery, Paisley ear infection, and Hudson having the flu we could handle much more in a weeks period. We are now all on the mend and hoping for a fantastic 2012.
