Surgery Update

I had my surgery last Wednesday which is probably one of the reasons I have been so behind on blogs. All in all the surgery went well. The surgeon pretty much cut the whole back side of my ear, but from what he told Bernie and my parents is that he felt the surgery went great. During surgery they also went into my ear and took care of some scar tissue that was there from when I got my rupture fixed several years ago. I left the hospital with my head wrapped like I had brain surgery so I know I was looking crazy. I did end up getting sick when I got home as the pain medicine gave me an upset stomach so to say the least I tried taking it one more time that evening and decided that was enough. Thursday I spent the day relaxing which was good because Thursday night I was up sick from the surgery. I called the doctor Friday morning to get some medicine as he thought the inflammation was possibly making me nauseous. On top of being sick due to surgery I had lost my appetite for food or anything to drink which never helps any situation. Even a week later nothing taste the best so I am hoping that changes soon, yet I wouldn't mind keeping off the extra pounds I have lost. I got back for a follow up Friday, January 13 so I am hoping that everything looks good, the infection stays away and I can be ear infection free moving into 2012.
