Snowboarding, Grandma, Kettlebells, etc

This past Thursday Bernie and a couple friends headed to Vail, Colorado to meet up and celebrate a bachelor party with Bernie's highschool friend who Bernie is a groomsman in his wedding in May. The guys drove out Thursday, snowboarded and hung out Friday and Saturday before heading home Sunday. Bernie had such a great time as he has been dreaming of snowboarding for such a long time....he loves it! Grandma Wenck came to visit on Friday night and had the pleasure of visiting the doctor with us for the kids fevers and ear infections. Saturday I had a Kettlebell certification from 8-3 so it was nice having Grandma there to watch the kids even though they didn't feel the best. Hudson and Paisley did well for the most part, but Tenley on the other hand rebelled and was very upset her mommy wasn't there. The poor little girl gave Grandma a run for her money as after I left she wouldn't even tolerate Grandma talking, looking or touching her. She did warm up eventually which was a relief. My mom headed home Saturday evening so the kids and I laid low and hung out. Sunday I woke feeling like I got hit by and train and unsure I could function and manage all the kids solo. I did go to the doctor to find out it is viral and tons of people have it. I thankfully did get some medicine for relief which helped. My mom came back Sunday to help me out around the house and with the kids which I am forever thankful for. We all laid low for most of the day playing and resting as we were all anticipating Bernie coming home Sunday night. It was not the weekend at home that I was hoping for with everyone sick but we managed with the help of my mom and medicine. I am sure glad my mom was able to help out and of course that Bernie is back home. The kids and I missed him a ton.
