This past week and weekend the kids, kids at daycare and myself have been fighting this horrible virus. I took the kids to the doctor on Friday after daycare because of fevers and fears of ear infections which I was right. Both Hudson and Paisley had a fever of 101.4 and the start of ear infections. I am so glad I took them and caught it early. Saturday night I started feeling achy and Sunday I woke up feeling like I got hit by a train. I went to the walk in clinic as soon as it opened and was told its a virus that 75% of Des Moines has and it has to run its course with fluids and ibuprofen. The doctor did give me a 5 day steroid to help with my symptoms which was nice of him. The combination of chills, sweats, inflamed sinuses, drainage, wheeziness in chest, etc was not a good combination. We are all slowly on the mend just in time for Tenley to start showing some symptoms of it. Hopefully Bernie skates out of this one free, because its not fun.
