The Heidgerken Family: Easter festivities

Easter festivities started with a neighborhood egg hunt. All of the kids in the neighborhood had a blast and probably found all the eggs in quicker time then it took to hide them all. The kids had fun enjoying their first Easter egg hunt of 2012.

Easter weekend we spent in the Quad cities with the Heidgerken's. Saturday when we got there Bernie went golfing with everyone while I stayed back at the house with Deb and the kids. All of the cousins had fun spending the afternoon playing before we headed to the hotel for the night. The kids were able to enjoy some swimming even though the pool was freezing. Bernie was a trooper and swam with the kids, but Tenley and I opted to sit aside and watch. We enjoyed a relaxing night of swimming, pizza and hanging out. We stayed the night at the hotel which the kids thought was fun. Sunday we woke for 8:00am service and believe it or not ALL kids made it through the whole service. We were so excited! Following church we headed back to Bernie's parents house for a nice lunch followed by a kids and adult Easter egg hunt. The younger kids enjoyed their egg hunt with eggs filled with jelly beans while the adults enjoyed an egg hunt with eggs filled with dollar coins. I have no idea how my in-laws to it but their hiding spots for the eggs is crazy and impossible to find. I do guess that is the fun of even though the egg hunt ends up lasting at least an hour by the time we find all the eggs if all the eggs are found. They sure do know how to make it fun though for all age groups. After the egg hunts all of the grand kids got to check out their Easter baskets. Grandma and Grandpa Heidgerken sure did spoil them all as Hudson got some cool swim trunks, couple shirts, squirt gun, etc. Paisley got some cute clothes and a light up bath tub Barbie that she loves. Tenley got lots of cute clothes along with a play keyboard. A big thank you to Grandpa & Grandma Heidgerken for such a great Easter!
