We officially survived our week long vacation and had an awesome time. It all started with an early flight to Phoenix in which we almost missed because of the crazy lines through security in Des Moines. Just a bit of advice for people flying - they are suggesting people arrive 2 hours in advance and they are NOT kidding. We grabbed our items off the security belt and ran through the airport as they were calling our name for the flight - just like the movies. We made the flight as got a bit of a rush to start off the day at 6:30am. But we were off to Phoenix and everyone was so excited. When we arrived in Phoenix and got the car rental we headed to my cousin's place in Surprise, Arizona for a stay Thursday night and part of Friday. We spent the entire day hanging out by pool, catching up and relaxing. My cousin and her two kids were able to come play which the kids loved. Bernie headed to his friend Andy's house Thursday night for a house warming party before the big wedding weekend while the kids and hung back and relaxed which was nice because I think everyone was a but thrown off with the 2 hour time change. Friday morning my cousin and her kids came over again as we enjoyed the morning in the pool, playing baseball with the kids and hanging out before we headed off to Sedona for the wedding festivities. We had so much fun seeing family along with the kids being able to play with their cousins. We could have not asked for a better stay or hospitality from my cousins. It was greatfully appreciated and a good time by all.
