The Heidgerken Family: Another Productive Weekend at Home

To start the weekend off Friday afternoon we had Hudson's in home visit from his teachers at preschool. One of the teachers asked Hudson a couple basic questions and read him a book while Bernie and I visited with the other teacher to get a run down of how this whole preschool thing works. We are so glad they made a visit because I think it helped Hudson feel more comfortable about going to school. After talking with the teachers we realized what a small world it is as one of his teachers is from Westside and the other teacher is from the Quad Cites. The teacher from the Quad Cites we happen to know her family and Bernie is friends with her step-brother. Crazy I know!

Saturday it rained a majority of the day but we were still somewhat productive. I took the kids to get hair cuts in the morning while Bernie took care of some things around the house and then the kids and I spent the rest of the morning making cookies and Lasagna for supper that night. After lunch and naps we spent the afternoon playing with the kids and finishing up some other small to do list items around the house.

Sunday we had somewhat the same type of day. Since the weather was beautiful we spent a lot of time outside playing and doing yard work. Bernie worked a majority of the day laying out the design for our landscaping. We have been working on landscaping ideas as we are getting an irrigation system put in so we have been wanting to know our layout before that happens. By the end of the summer Bernie is going to be one happy guy with a nice green lawn and beautiful landscaping. I won't lie as I too will be excited. I think it is all going to come together well and make our house look great. I didn't get any pictures of Hudson as he was under the weather this weekend with a bad cough and took a 6 hour nap on Sunday.
