Friday night we went back to Glidden as Saturday was the Glidden FFA Days. Friday night the whole family hung out at my parents house as my brother Chance and his wife and new baby came home Friday night also. Saturday morning we woke bright and early to participate in the 5K. Bernie ran as I walked due to my ear with my sister in law, her sister and then unexpectedly caught up with an old high school friend. It was fun being back home and doing the 5K as it brought back memories of running cross country in high school. After the 5K we all got ready for the parade as my parents were riding horses for the saddle club. The kids thought the parade was the best and got a ton of candy. They were all so excited when they saw Grandpa and Grandma ride past on the horses. Following the parade we headed to the park for lunch and to check out the car show before the kiddie tractor pull. Hudons participated along with his cousins and thought it was the coolest thing, especially since he got a coupon for a free ice cream cone at the Dairy Mart. My nephew Caden actually got 2nd place in his age group - we were so proud of him and he was beyond excited. After the tractor pull we all went for ice cream at the Dairy Mart before heading back to my parents for dinner with the whole family. After dinner the kids got a horse ride from Grandpa Wenck. It was the first ride for Hudson and Paisley. The kids had the best time playing and spending the whole day with their cousins and it was great so spend time with the family and have all of us together. We headed home Saturday night as the kids were exhausted to say the least.
