Hello, Hello

I know I am behind and haven't been doing the best blogging, but in my defense life has been crazy. Bernie is putting in a lot of hours working on a free lance project and I have therefore been on full time mom duty. So to say the least by the end of a full work day followed by full time mommy duty of three crazy kids I have been exhausted. But, here I am, Bernie is working, all the kids asleep and I have some free time to blog even though it is 10:25pm.

Other than work and kids we have been pretty uneventful. Last weekend we did enjoy a night out Friday with our neighbors to celebrate one of our neighbors 40th birthday. We all went to a show at the Funny Bone followed by some drinks. It was a nice night out to say the least. Saturday Bernie's mom was in town for work so we met her for lunch and then went to the ICubs game that night for FMH night at the ball park. We had some friends and neighbors join us and everyone had a great time. Besides the rain early that day and a few showers during the tailgate and game everything went great. Sunday we met our college friends Matt and Sarah for breakfast at they were in town from Minnesota for a wedding. We don't get to see them often but when we do we love and miss them. Following breakfast the kids and I went back to Glidden to celebrate our nephew and nieces birthdays while Bernie stayed back to get some work done on his project. The birthday parties were great and as always it was great seeing family and the kids had a blast with their cousins. We headed back to Des Moines Sunday afternoon for a relaxing evening as everyone was exhausted from a busy weekend.
