Relaxing weekend

This past weekend was a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend with the kids. Besides Bernie having to work on Saturday morning we pretty much spent the weekend around home. With the weather be HOT to say the least the kids spent a lot of time playing in the water. We bought water balloons for the kids to play with which entertained them for most of the weekend. Well, besides the fact of Bernie and I filling and tying the balloons just for the kids the throw them on the ground and ask for another. But, it was fun for them and that's all that matters. Sunday afternoon the kids and I did go to our daycare providers house for a get together and then met Bernie at the Machine Shed for dinner. Bernie's cousins from California are in Iowa for a couple weeks visiting family and on their way through Des Moines met up with us for dinner. It was so nice to see them and their kids as we only get to see them at most once a year. It was a great ending to a nice weekend.
